All autoclaves are required by law to adhere to the PSSR act 2000.
Within the requirement, a written scheme of examination is to be carried out and supplied to qualify your machine as safe for use.
All autoclaves need to be inspected annually to ensure they are safe to use and are not at risk harm or damage.
Much like an MOT for a car, the examiner will thoroughly check the autoclave for damages, cracking, faults or anything that could cause it to be dangerous or deemed unfit for use.
It is your responsibility to arrange and have the inspection carried out, SES Ltd do not carry out examinations but will attend where necessary to assist the inspection. Costs apply.
As part of the examination we can also service your autoclave saving time down and site costs, we at SES Ltd can carry out servicing of your machines, as well as assist the examiner with the inspection.
We also, are happy to provide you with guidance to recommended use of your machine to ensure any cycles especially waste cycles are autoclaved correctly and are completely sterile throughout.
Our service engineers will thoroughly check over your machines and provide an extensive report on the well-being of the machine.
For your information we recommend servicing of autoclaves is carried out on a 12 monthly basis for light use machines (below 3 cycles per week) but requirements may be different for your autoclave, please contact us for advice any questions or pricing.
